9/15/08

I knew the bad luck was with us when we started out in hot laps with a brand new distributor not working. I confirmed it when we came to a stop on the front stretch, under yellow. Our tie rod end broke while running 2nd, half way through the feature. The car felt great!! I thought I was going to be able to pass Herman for the lead. Guess that's racin!. Congratulations to Eric Walker for the SSP points championship, and the Clean Technologies Young Guns championship!!! Thanks to the Fishers for the great programs this year, despite all the rain. Thanks to all the sponsors!! Thanks especially to all the fans that came out this year. Well...for us, its time to tear down and get ready for next year. We will have plenty of pics, so watch us on the pic page as we prepare. See ya in April 2009!!!

Well....another pretty good night. After a little mishap down the back stretch and despite the bent axle and leaking axle seal, we managed to get a 10th place. We couldn't close any on the top 10 in points because Jen had an outstanding night, ans Jimmy finished good also. Two more weeks, seems like we just started. Hopefully the hurricane stays away for this Saturday! See ya at the track!!

WOW what a night. I can't believe how far we've come. It was fun racing with the 52, thought he had me a couple times. The car has been great since the beginning of July. We were sorry to see the Young Guns Dash get postponed. With starting on the front row, I think we would have had something. I still wonder where we would have been in points if we wouldn't have missed a week. This week, patience finally paid off!! Also, with all the excitement in going to the front stretch, I forgot to mention my sponsors. Without any of the above sponsors, we couldn't do this. Oh, hey Kurt, the tire you bought us was on during that 3rd place finish....Thanks!! See you guys at the track!!

Another good Saturday for the team. Picnic In The Pits looked like it went well. I'd like to thank the sponsors for the bike donations. I have to thank Dave Zortman from Lap One Photo and Clean Technologies for the "Young Guns" posters...they look great! Well, we finished 3rd in our heat, and 8th in the feature. We had another good Saturday night!! Car felt good in the feature....we gotta get going in the heats though!! I have to apologize to Garrett....it honestly was not a pay back. Looks like the Alleman / Walker battle is still shaping up to be a good one!! Hey, was it just me or did Larry seem a little more relaxed this week? Another interesting Saturday night. I'm just wondering why some "drivers" have no respect for their own or others equipment that they would have to drive way over their head to gain one position!! 3rd time this year we have been on the receiving end. Oh well, right Joe?? I did see something good out of this whole thing, I had alot of help from the Morgans, Shovers, Walkers crews and the tow truck driver, sorry if I missed anyone. We got both rear tires changed and back out to salvage a 14th place.

Usually no news is good news, but....rained out. We were looking forward to trying out a new set up. Maybe we shouldn't tinker, but seems like were missing something when the track is tacky. What a night Saturday!! I think we're officially tired of being the ping pong ball now!! Don't get me wrong, I know stuff happens, but 3 of the last 4 weeks is a little ridiculous. Enough of that. Wow...the results certainly don't show how fast the car was!! The car was fast! The car felt great! We got caught up in somebody else's mess in the Young Guns race and the car shut off a few times in the feature, had to bring it in. Thinkin it might be a distributor issue. Oh well....guess that's racin!! Guess we'll work on it this week and see you Saturday night!! Maybe the rain will stay away this week!
